Dr Gavin Lenz

Dr Gavin LenzDr Lenz has spent the majority of his life in different parts of Australia. He graduated as a dentist from The University of Queensland in December 1990. He then joined the Royal Australian Air Force and worked as a Dental Officer for 6 years in general practice dentistry. During this time he resided in Townsville, Canberra, Adelaide and Sydney. In 1996 Dr Lenz was awarded Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons; a qualification awarded to a small percentage of Australian dentists.

In 1997, Dr Lenz was accepted to the Orthodontic program at the University of Melbourne. His training was completed in 1999 and he was awarded Master of Dental Science.

Dr Lenz has since worked as an Orthodontist for short periods of time in Rockhampton, Queensland; Wellington, New Zealand; Cambridge, U.K.; and Toronto, Canada.

In Toronto he worked at the Hospital for Sick Children, aiding in the treatment of complex patients including those with Cleft Lip and Palate, and other craniofacial anomalies. Currently Dr Lenz works part-time at the Royal Children's Hospital, Brisbane, continuing his work within this specialised area.

Dr Lenz has remained associated with the University of Queensland School of Dentistry, teaching at both the undergraduate and post-graduate level.


Dr Faye Goodyear

Dr Faye GoodyearDr Goodyear has spent most of her life living in the United Kingdom. She graduated as a dentist from Guy’s Hospital, London in the UK in 1998. She also spent a year studying psychology and gained a BSc (Hons) in psychology and basic medical science.

Following graduation she completed internships in paediatric dentistry and maxillofacial surgery at Guy’s Hospital, followed by a further Oral and Maxillofacial internship at Poole Hospital where she was involved in the care of patients with cleft lip and palate and other craniofacial anomalies. Dr Goodyear then spent a year in general dental practice during which time she was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Dr Goodyear was accepted to the Orthodontic programme at the University of London and gained her Master of Science in Orthodontics in 2003. She completed her training and was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh in 2004.

In 2005 Dr Goodyear and her family emigrated to Australia.

In addition to private practice Dr Goodyear has a position as a visiting specialist and runs the Southside public orthodontic service.

She is married with two young children and enjoys netball, mountain biking and swimming.
